National flooring company is seeking a business development / outside sales professional with experience specifically in the multifamily industry to join our team. No flooring experience is required. All outside sales reps are backed by a local team that will provide support and guarantee success in the delivery of the final product.
An ideal candidate will have existing relationships in the multifamily sector that will allow him or her to hit the ground running developing their book of business. He or she will be familiar with the industry and ideally have experience attending and participating in the local association events. An existing network in the space is required.

Responsibilities for this role include the
following:
· Prospecting for and visiting potential clients daily
· Establishing and developing relationships with property managers and other property personnel responsible for ordering
flooring services
· Presenting our company products and services to prospective clients
· Attending and participating in local association meetings, luncheons and trade shows
· Reporting activity in company’s proprietary crm portal daily
· Serving as company contact for acquired clients for placing orders, addressing issues, etc.
Outside Sales Representative
Duties:
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and sales opportunities
- Present and demonstrate company products or services to potential clients
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project implementation
- Provide excellent customer service and address any customer concerns or inquiries
- Meet or exceed sales targets and goals
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales, account management, or business development
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close sales deals
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software for managing customer interactions
- Ability to analyze market trends and identify sales opportunities
- Technical sales experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets
- Customer service-oriented mindset
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs
