The Senior Systems Engineer develops and implements technology solutions to support all business processes. The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for all aspects of network administration and engineering including servers, desktop systems, VMware, Network Devices and SQL administration.

Duties & Responsibilities
-
Focus on Cyber Security
-
Windows Server Infrastructure Environment Monitoring and Maintenance
-
Comfortable with DR and Verifying Backups
-
Installs core network switches, routers, wireless access point, firewall, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IPS), VPN concentrators etc.
-
Designs, installs and configures network and security devices and monitor network traffic in both LAN and WAN environment
-
Troubleshoots problems with network and security infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, proxy server and makes corrective actions when necessary
-
Assists with support of help desk tickets and visits offices to troubleshoot and solve problems when necessary
-
Assists with planning, design, research and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware technology and recommend modifications as necessary

Assists with server/client hardware and software installation and configuration, documentation of IP assignment of servers and network devices
-
Supports mission critical infrastructure and help desk after hours when necessary
-
Responsible for updating LAN and WAN diagrams and associated documentation to ensure accurate representation of implementations and infrastructure

Responsible for analyzing network performance issues and ensure EMR software running with the highest performance

Assists in mentoring, training, and coaching junior technicians

Administer Microsoft SQL environment including monitoring backups, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance
Experience and Skills:
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent expertise and knowledge required
-
Strong knowledge and working experience with network technologies, network monitoring tools and documentation of systems required

Visio knowledge is a preferred
-
Strong Inter-personal, analytical of network operations thinking, and communication skills required

Ability to work as part of a team is required
-
Advanced knowledge of trouble shooting, implementation/configuration, and design required
-
Experience with Ethernet, Switching, VLAN, Routing protocols and security required
-
Experience with Dell Routing and Switching required
-
Expert in deployment of Critical Patch Management Strategies

Expert with Office 365
-
SQL knowledge preferred
-
Represents the organization with a positive, professional attitude when communicating with patients and visitors.

Works well with others and has the ability to discuss issues that come up with staff in a professional manner.
Other Requirements

Reliable transportation required.

Standard Required Working hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written required.

Ability to work outside of regular business hours as needed for network maintenance, upgrades, or incident response.

Small Stipend available for rotating on-call after hours coverage.
