What You’ll Do:
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll serve our residents by ensuring the proper maintenance and upkeep of the property. You’ll be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to maintain and enhance the value of our multi-site investment portfolio and maximize the living experience for our residents. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Property Manager.
Where You’ll Work:
Sugar Run at New Albany is a 394-unit conventional apartment community located in New Albany, OH. The property is located near downtown New Albany, Hamilton Quarter, and Easton Town Center. Each apartment and carriage homes feature a washer and dryer, private patio or balcony, walk-in closets, and eat-in dining areas. Residents have access to a resort-style pool, fitness center, resident lounge with fireplace, dog park, and picnic pavilion with grilling station.
Your Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily repair and upkeep of our properties, including general maintenance, HVAC, appliance repair, light electrical and plumbing, painting, finish work, and grounds.
- Inspect properties to ensure free of trash and litter, clean, safe, and presentable.
- Inspect and prepare vacant apartments for new residents.
- Complete repairs in a timely, accurate, and respectful manner.
- Work effectively alongside other maintenance technicians, contractors, sub-contractors, and other team members.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Other duties as directed and assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in property maintenance, handyman services, HVAC/appliance repairs preferred.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair skills, including the use of hand tools and other necessary equipment.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and be insurable under company policy. A company vehicle is provided.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outside for long periods of time. Must be able to lift/move loads up to 50 lbs as well as use a ladder.
- Ability to speak elementary English required.
