Compounding pharmacy is seeking a highly competent, customer focused Pharmacist for a new and exciting opportunity. Candidate must currently have pharmacist license in Virginia.
The Pharmacist will direct and coordinate all pharmacy activities including dispensing, adhering to and complying with all state and federal regulations, purchasing, receipt and storage of all pharmaceuticals. Collaborates with management to ensure safe and high-quality pharmacy services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the pharmacy provides excellent service, meets all legal requirements, and complies with all policies and procedures of Pharmacy
- Maintain daily operations of the pharmacy department by supervising pharmacy technicians and cashiers
- Provide appropriate training for all staff members
- Ensure all staff is trained comprehensively on compliance issues, and that all staff is with the Compliance Officer and procedures
- Prepare required reports to support compliance and the business
- Maintain patient medication records
- Maintain proper C2 counts in accordance with state law
- Monitor drug therapy for Drug interactions, allergies, and appropriateness
- Oversee drug ordering and inventory control
- Oversee & review all compounding
- Perform other job- related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Pharmacy License in Virginia
- 1+ years of pharmacist experience
- 5+ years of pharmacy experience
- 1+ years of compounding experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
