Quality Engineer/CMM Programmer
Position Overview:
TR Manufacturing, LLC, is currently recruiting an experienced Quality Engineer/CMM Programmer to join our team dedicated to producing high-quality precision parts. You will play a pivotal role in guaranteeing the excellence and dependability of our components. Your responsibilities will encompass thorough analysis, testing, and meticulous reporting on part quality, along with providing statistical insights to drive continuous quality enhancements. Additionally, you will engage in component testing, diagnosis of issues, and collaborative problem-solving within our team. This position demands keen attention to detail, technical proficiency, self-motivation, and adeptness in managing multiple projects concurrently.
Position Responsibilities:
- Interpret part inspection requirements from internal or customer drawings.
- Develop quality planning documentation to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and collaborate with Process Engineering for NPI programs.
- Identify opportunities for quality improvements in manufacturing processes.
- Manage First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and meet customer requirements.
- Investigate customer issues using root cause and corrective action methodologies.
- Conduct internal and external quality audits.
- Create, modify and utilize programs for the CMM.
- Apply GD&T to conduct detailed part inspections.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
- Perform finished product inspections using hand gauges, measurement systems, and CMM.
- Establish and maintain procedures for controlling, calibrating, and maintaining inspection equipment.
- Manage tool calibration for equipment and gauges.
- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain accurate records.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
- Proficiency in GD&T, metrology, and use of measuring instruments.
- Strong analytical skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Capable of assisting in dimensional verification of sample and production parts.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
- Proven proactive problem-solving abilities with multitasking capability.
