Position Title: Director of Supportive Services

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000

Position Description:
As the Director of Supportive Services, you'll spearhead the development, implementation, and oversight of comprehensive support systems to uplift individuals and families in need. We're looking for someone with a strong background in social services, program management, and team leadership, who can build partnerships and empower vulnerable populations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develop and implement strategic plans for supportive services in line with organizational goals.

Oversee day-to-day operations, including intake, assessment, case management, and resource coordination.

Ensure high-quality service delivery, covering healthcare access, housing assistance, food, clothing, and household supplies.

Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders.

Provide leadership and supervision to program staff, ensuring effective performance.

Monitor program outcomes and metrics, adjusting strategies for optimal outcomes.

Enhance service delivery processes and client satisfaction, promoting empowerment and self-sufficiency.

Collaborate with other departments for holistic client support.

Advocate for the importance of supportive services in promoting social justice and equity.

Manage department budgets efficiently and ensure compliance with funding requirements.

Supervise staff and volunteers, setting goals and evaluating performance.

Represent EHCEC in meetings, conferences, and public forums, advocating for supportive services in East Harris County.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in social work, human services, public administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years of social services experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role.

Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

Strong understanding of social service delivery systems, regulations, and best practices.

Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders.

Proficiency in Google Suite and data management systems.

Strong project management skills, leadership abilities, and communication skills.

Commitment to EHCEC's mission and values, with a passion for creating positive change.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

An entrepreneurial spirit that can identify emerging opportunities.

Current and valid driver’s license.

Strong preference is given to candidates who reside in or may be familiar with the East Harris County region.
Physical Conditions:
The staff person must be able to attend meetings on nights and weekends as needed. EHCEC is a collaborative work setting. Employees pitch in to help each other with responsibilities as needed. Team members will be expected to contribute to teamwork and a sense of collaboration.
