Social Media Coordinator
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a talented Social Media Coordinator to join the Rio Grande Creative Team. The ideal candidate will develop and implement our social media strategy across various social media platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement. This includes organic posts on Rio branded accounts and working with our network of Influencers to deliver engaging and informative content to jewelers around the world.
The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with other Creative Team members, including Writers, Photographers, Coordinators, and the Digital Marketing Manager, to develop, implement, and track social media campaigns.
We are looking for someone who can grow our already extensive social media reach in fun and new ways while also staying true to Rio’s core brand.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor social media channels for industry trends and competitor activity.
- Design and manage the monthly social media campaign calendar. You will work closely with our Digital Marketing Manager to ensure that the calendar aligns with marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Monitor social media accounts and respond to customer comments and complaints in a timeline manner. This includes working closely with our Jewelry Tech Team, Merchandising, and Supply Managers to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Cultivate and grow an industry-leading influencer program by identifying and collaborating with leading jewelers and content creators on Instagram and TikTok.
- Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and best practices, including ways to grow our TikTok presence with organic, paid, and influencer posts.
- Analyze social media metrics and generate reports to track the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies.
- Engage with the social community, including influencers, content creators, and fans, to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Analyze social media data and generate reports on key metrics, such as engagement, reach, and conversion rates.
What You’ll Need:
- S/B. A in Public Relations, Marketing, Business Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of social media experience in a B2B environment in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Video production and editing skills that will be used to help create Tik Tok, Instagram, and YouTube shorts.
- Proficient in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track social media performance.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data management, great writing and presentation skills, and excellent communication abilities are necessary.
- A creative thinker who can brainstorm ideas and design innovative marketing campaigns while adhering to marketing and brand guidelines.
- Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, pivot and adapt to new requests from Sales and Merchandizing teams are a must. We are constantly working on new and fun marketing campaigns across multiple channels, and the ideal candidate thrives in a creative environment.
- Preparing monthly reports on social media marketing efforts using Excel, Smartsheet, and PowerPoint.
Schedule:
- General hours are between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. with the expectation to monitor social sites on nights and weekends as needed.

Office Environment:
Location: Typically, in a modern office setting, possibly in an open-plan office to facilitate communication and collaboration.
Workspace: Desk with a computer (desktop or laptop), dual monitors for better multitasking, ergonomic chair, and essential office supplies.
Team Interaction: Engages regularly with videographers and photographers, writers and designers. Works closely with digital marketing manager and other departments through meetings, emails, and chat platforms (Microsoft Teams).
Physical Requirements:
Primarily sedentary, requiring employees to sit for extended periods. This can include working at a computer, attending meetings, and performing other tasks while seated.
