Rosa Coplan, the hallmark of the Weinberg Campus, is seeking a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to oversee all administrative functions, day-to-day operations, to ensure accordance with all regulations, and ensure the highest standard of care for its residents.
The ideal candidate will have extensive supervisory, budgeting, and compliance experience, and the ability to positively impact recruitment and retention.

Licensed Nursing Home Administrator | Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. A degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration, or a health-related degree is preferred, but not required.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government personnel and the general public.
- Must possess a current unencumbered nursing home Administrators license or meet the Administrators licensure requirements of New York State.
- Minimum of 3 years Health Care Administration experience required.
Licensed Nursing Home Administrator | Role & Responsibilities
· Responsible for administrative oversight of the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)/Rosa Coplon Living Center (RCLC).
· Responsible for development of annual budgets for the SNF.
· Responsible for the adherence to all established revenue/expenditure lines in the budgets for SNF and monthly variance response reporting.
· Responsible for continually seeking other sources of revenue and for developing proposals for new ventures.
· Responsible for compliance to all regulatory requirements for SNF and maintains master staffing level, assuring that a sufficient number of facility personnel are available to meet the needs of all residents.
· Responsible for development of Quality Assurance plans and oversight and completion of needed audits and reports; monitoring of plans of correction and preparing for survey visits.
· Assures that all applicable staff maintains current registration.
· Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs overall operations of the SNF in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
· Delegates a responsible staff member to act as administrative designee in your absence.
· Develops, maintains and periodically updates written policies and procedures that govern overall operations of the SNF.
· Assures department directors develop, maintain and update policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of their departments.
· Assures that all resident care services are coordinated to assure the continuity of the resident’s plan of care.
· Performs administrative duties such as completing forms, reports, etc. as necessary.
· Assures that facility policies and procedures are followed by all personnel, residents and visitors.
· Oversees all facility operations during surveys made by authorized governmental agencies, as well as assures a smooth operation during the survey process.
· Reviews all deficiencies noted during the survey process and assists department directors as necessary in developing a plan of correction and submits to the Health Department, ombudsman and/or governing board, as necessary.
· Makes written and/or oral reports/recommendations to the CEO Lineage concerning the operations of the SNF.
· Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by personnel and makes appropriate reports the CEO Lineage.
· Assures that all employee accidents/incidents reports are submitted to the Human Resources Department in a timely manner.
· Serves on, participates in and attends various committee meetings as required.
· Schedules and participates in department directors meetings.
· Develops and maintains a good working rapport with all facility personnel to assure that all resident care services can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
· Delegates to all personnel the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to perform their assigned duties.
· Works with department directors on a regular basis to assure smooth function of the SNF.
· Make rounds to assure that all facility personnel are performing required duties to assure that appropriate care is rendered to meet the needs of the resident and the SNF.
· Maintains a good public relations program that serves the best interest of the facility and the community.
· Receives all resident accident/incident reports and medication discrepancies and assures a timely review by the medical director and/or pharmacist with the appropriate follow-up with the Department of Health and/or office of professional discipline as warranted.
· Assures that all comprehensive resident assessments (MDS) and comprehensive care plans are completed for each resident in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
· Assures that MDS+ data is submitted on a timely basis and in accordance with the current rules, regulations and facility policies and procedures.
· Assures that each resident receives the necessary nursing, medical and psychological services to attain the highest possible mental and physical functional status, as defined by the comprehensive assessment and care plan.
· Assures that all PRIs are completed and submitted in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with the current rules, regulations, guidelines and facility policies and procedures.
· Maintains the confidentiality of all resident care information.
· Assures that facility personnel treat residents fairly and with kindness, dignity and respect.
· Released information in accordance with current rules, regulations, guidelines and code requirements.
· Assures that written record of resident complaints is maintained on files.
· Assures that a thorough investigation is conducted on suspected resident abuse and assures that results are reported to the DOH as necessary.
· Meets with residents and/or family member as necessary. Follows up with problem areas to the department director(s) as necessary.
· Assures that resident funds and appropriate accounting records are managed and maintained in accordance with current rules, regulations, guidelines and facility policies and procedures.
· Provides leadership training to department directors as necessary.
· Attends and participates in continuing education programs.
· Assures that general orientation and mandatory in-services are conducted in accordance with current rules, regulations, guidelines and facility policies and procedures.
· Assures a clean and safe working/living environment for residents, visitors and personnel.
· Assures that infection control policies and procedures are followed by all personnel.
· Assures that safety standards are developed and followed by all department directors and facility personnel.
· Assures that fire safety and disaster preparedness drills are conducted in a timely manner in accordance with rules, regulations, guidelines and facility policies and procedures.
· Assures that adequate/safe equipment and supplies are available to meet the needs of all departments and the residents.
· Assures that a preventative maintenance program is developed and followed by all department directors and facility personnel.
· Conduct performance evaluations on all staff assigned.
· Adheres to the behavioral values of the campus and maintains professional demeanor in all interactions.
· Communicates information and concerns to the CEO Lineage on an ongoing basis.
· Ultimately responsible to ensure that Adult Day Health Program operates soundly in regard to registrant care & fiscal performance. ADHP Coordinator oversees the program and reports to SNF Administrator.
· Performs other duties as assigned by the CEO Lineage
