About the Role:
The Production Manager will oversee the packaging operations for our cannabis products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with all regulatory standards. This role involves coordinating supply orders, working closely with the Post Harvest Manager, interfacing with company executives, and coordinating with sales and distribution teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and experience in production management within the cannabis industry or a similar regulated environment.
What you'll do:
Packaging Coordination:

Oversee all packaging operations to ensure products are prepared for distribution in a timely and efficient manner.

Manage the inventory of packaging materials, ensuring adequate supply levels are maintained.
Supply Chain Management:

Coordinate supply orders for packaging materials and other necessary supplies.

Work with vendors to secure the best pricing and timely delivery of materials.
Collaboration with Post Harvest Manager:

Coordinate with the Post Harvest Manager to ensure seamless integration of dried and trimmed products into the packaging process.

Address any issues or delays in the post-harvest process that may affect packaging timelines.
Executive Interface:

Regularly report to company executives on production status, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Implement strategic decisions from executive management to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Sales and Distribution Coordination:

Interface with third-party sales teams and distribution partners to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.

Address any issues related to product availability, packaging, or delivery with sales and distribution teams.
Quality Assurance:

Ensure all packaged products meet company standards for quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Implement and maintain quality control procedures to minimize errors and defects.
Team Leadership:

Lead and manage a team of packaging staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.

Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement:

Continuously evaluate and improve packaging processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards.

Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure all packaging operations comply with state and federal regulations for cannabis production.

Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and quality control measures.
Health and Safety:

Promote and enforce a culture of safety within the production environment.

Ensure all safety protocols are followed, and address any safety concerns promptly.
Requirements:
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably within the cannabis industry or a similar regulated environment.

Strong understanding of supply chain management and inventory control.

Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from frontline staff to executives.

Knowledge of Nevada state cannabis regulations is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace Suite and production management software.
