Community Connections is seeking a motivated, flexible and collaborative Child and Family Therapist to provide wraparound, family centered services in Ketchikan, Alaska. This position works within a wraparound team model, including collaboration with children, families, therapeutic staff, foster parents, teachers, caseworkers, community supports and the Office of Children's Services. Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in one of the following; Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Professional Counseling or a related mental health counseling field.
- Licensed or licensure eligible.
- Able to pass a criminal background check under State of Alaska regulations
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Alaska driver license and liability insurance. Must be able to provide own transportation.
- Able to obtain First Aid/ CPR and MANDT certification
Preferred * Experience in teaching/ training paraprofessionals in behavioral/ cognitive interventions
Ketchikan is a small island town (population: 13,700) in southeast Alaska that is home to many artists, anglers and outdoor lovers. Opportunities for outdoor activities include hiking, boating, fishing, and hunting, but the community also has a flourishing music and arts scene. Wildlife is abundant in this cool, moist climate. During the summers, average temperatures may vary from 46 to 70 degrees! Precipitation is always possible.
Note: Ketchikan is on an island in southeast Alaska – larger cities like Juneau, Anchorage, and Fairbanks are all a plane ride away.
