We are looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to oversee and coordinate all aspects of maintenance and repair work within our organization. This role entails coordinating schedules, tracking inventory, ensuring timely and efficient completion of maintenance and inspection tasks to support our operational needs. Coordinating with external contractors and ensuring compliance with safety and section 8 regulations. This position is a hybrid position with half of your work time spent in office coordinating maintenance activities and systems, while the other half of your time will be spent in the field overseeing and conducting maintenance activities. Responsibilities are as outlined but not limited to the following:
- Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance tasks for multiple multi-family homes.
- Inspect properties regularly to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.
- Develop preventative maintenance plans to extend the lifespan of each asset.
- Coordinate repairs and renovations with contractors and vendors.
- Review maintenance requests from tenants and address them in a timely manner.
- Monitor budget and expenses related to property maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and inventory for each asset.
- Communicate effectively with property managers, owners, and tenants regarding maintenance issues.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and address urgent maintenance needs.
- Implement sustainable and cost-effective maintenance practices to improve property value and tenant satisfaction.
- Collaborates with Section 8 program staff to address tenant concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Develops and implements maintenance policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 3-5 years prior proven maintenance experience overseeing a portfolio consisting of 350+ homes/units.
- 5-8 years proven experience working in a role with minimum to no supervision.
- Special designated certifications and licenses are a plus.
