Production Controller/Planner
Create all production plans and schedules to meet customers and internal demands. Monitor production plans and schedules, adjusting as necessary to meet customer demands. Track all production orders and WIP internally and externally.
RESPONSIBILITIES, FUNCTIONS AND TASKS
· Production Planning and Scheduling:
o Creates all production plans, schedules, and work/production orders, using input from management and customer service, to ensure customer demands are met.
o Monitors production plans and makes real-time adjustments to optimize resource utilization and ensure on-time delivery.
o Defines and creates the scope of work for all repairs department work orders and internally re-worked components.
o Implements lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
· Inventory Management:
o Maintains accurate inventory of all internal WIP and repairs department customer property.
o Coordinates with Procurement Team with scheduling of external WIP.
o Verifies stock availability for planned work orders and launches pick list to warehouse.
o Coordinates with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components for planned orders.
o Assigns all major materials and components to work/production orders.
o Performs material allocation review after work/production order completion with Procurement Team.
o Works closely with supply chain and production management during month-end and year-end activities.
o Coordinates scrap pick-ups with supply chain.
· Quality Control:
o Plays a vital role in implementing Engineering Change Notifications on the shop floor.
· Data Analysis:
o Collects and analyzes production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
o Generates reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor production efficiency and effectiveness.
· Continuous Improvement:
o Participates in process improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing changes to enhance production control procedures.
· Sales Coordination:
o Collaborates with the sales department to understand customer demand.
o Creates scope of work for and plans production orders for after-sales demand.
· Other:
o This is a 100% on site position. Expect to spend 30-40% of the time on the manufacturing floor.
o Ensures tasks are performed according to organizational requirements for quality management and environmental, health and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
o Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of production control experience, or 5+ years of production control in manufacturing in lieu of a degree. Must have a thorough knowledge of production control processes and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
· Excellent knowledge of SAP or similar ERP software. SAP strongly preferred.
· Experience working with Microsoft Office products, with a strong Excel background.
· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
· Must be highly proficient in data analysis and reporting.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Must have working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous process improvement.
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (required).

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
