Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Nurse Informaticist for full-time Day!
The Nurse Informaticist role is to deliver support to end users in the organization about how to use various types of software programs efficiently and effectively in fulfilling clinical and business objectives. This includes troubleshooting applications and software for all internal customers, such as operations, development, and other business units. This is a Monday-Friday salaried position with an on-call requirement.
As a Nurse Informaticist, you will provide:

Serve as the primary interface between nursing, patient care services, and Information Services to ensure multi- and inter-disciplinary project coordination.

Field incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues within servers, databases, and other mission-critical systems.

Participate in communications and project planning regarding system implementation and integration with other hospital initiatives.

Provide program management for nursing informatics projects, including assessing unit and department technology needs, coordinating orientation classes at implementation, and providing ongoing end-user education.

Provide a nursing perspective and articulate nursing needs related to the integration of technology in patient care delivery.

Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Required (BSN); Master’s degree in Nursing preferred (MSN)

Current RN license to practice in the State of Tennessee

A couple years of IT Informaticist or Super User experience preferred
