We are looking for a seasoned Scheduling/Patient Coordinator to provide superior service to our valued patients. You need excellent interpersonal communication skills in order to contribute to the team and communicate calmly and reassuringly with patients. The ideal candidate thrives on organization, attention to detail, and understands the value of supporting others.
Job duties:
- Skill in navigating and proficiently utilizing practice software systems.
- Skill in maintaining a busy hygiene and doctor schedule according to prescribed protocols.
- Operate multiple telephone lines to answer, screen and forward calls, provide information, take messages and schedule appointments.
- Skilled in collecting and entering complete patient demographic and insurance information with accuracy.
- Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
- Check-in and check-out patients, collect payments, and schedule appointments.
- File, scan, and maintain records.
- Collect, sort, distribute, and prepare mail, messages and courier deliveries.
- Balance credit transactions and provide basic financial clerical support duties.
- Assist with obtaining information from patients’ insurance provider(s) as needed.
- Actively pursues providing excellent patient service.
- Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
- Must be able to comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and task assignments.
- Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings.
- Other duties and tasks, as assigned.
Experience:
- Have at least one-year experience as a front desk receptionist in a busy dental or medical office.
- Have at least one-year experience in a customer service role.
- Skill in Eagle Soft (or similar dental practice management software) a plus.
- Have excellent attention to detail, organizational and follow-through skills.
