Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
Duties:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and create innovative menu items
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide training when needed
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as necessary
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards
- Assist in developing new recipes and menu items
- Manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or relevant role in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, kitchen management, and food preparation techniques
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff
- Understanding of culinary trends and techniques
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
