POSITION SUMMARY:
- Mix alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as ordered and to dispense them in a prompt, friendly and professional manner to cocktail wait persons and guest at the bar.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Active Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities.)
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate (verbal and written) in English with guests, co-workers, and management.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear, and taste and smell. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. Shall be able to exert 10 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force to constantly move objects. Will be required to perform CPR when appropriate.
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED AND OPERATED: Cash register, bartending utensils
WORKING CONDITIONS: Subject to working in a smoke filled environment, long periods of standing, outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Requisition all supplies as needed. Prepare garnishes as prescribed; limes, lemons, etc. Ensure adequate supply of clean glassware. Wipe down liquor bottles to maintain cleanliness. Ring up bar tabs for cocktail wait staff. Assure that all drinks are served are recorded promptly on NCR. Brew and maintain adequate supplies of fresh coffee and cappuccino. Take guest orders at bar. Settle all transactions on each round of drinks. Offer menus when requested. Assure that TABC labels are visible and intact. Demonstrate alcohol awareness – knowing when to stop serving a customer. Shall request identification when legal age is in question.

Pay: $19.73 - $20.59 per hour
