Job Overview:
Works with customers, by providing information to begin the application process. Collects necessary documents and assists in the completion of the mortgage application according to secondary market and established Bank policies and procedures. Must have thorough knowledge of mortgage products, programs, characteristics, regulations and terminology offered through the Bank, Mortgage Brokers, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Must have thorough understanding and be able to communicate to individuals about Private Mortgage Insurance and Real Estate Tax Escrow. Must represent the Bank and communicate with a wide variety of individuals on a professional level. Must have excellent telephone skills, flexible work hours and willing to travel.
General Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

- Must have excellent communication and telephone skills.
- Accepts and follows up on referrals received through branches, direct customer contact, realtors, builders, etc. on a timely basis.
- Calculates and provides information, verbally and written, on mortgage products, rates, features, closing costs, etc. to customer as required.
- Provides initial application package to customer. Assists in the collection of data and documents to complete mortgage application. Enters information into Mortgage Origination System for further processing. Provides customer(s) with all regulatory documents required at application.
- Maintains continual communication with customer, branch, realtor, etc. through mortgage process up and through until closing.
- Cross-sells bank products whenever opportunity arises.
- Seeks and makes external contacts with realtors, builders, etc. and makes regular contact to solidify business relationship and to obtain new referrals.
- Attends mortgage related events (home shows, branch meetings, closings, etc.) as necessary.
- Accepts applications and processes Pre Approval/Pre-Qualification requests from customers.
- Keeps detailed tracking records of all referrals.
- Assists branches with Mortgage questions/inquires.
- Involved in educating, motivating and training branch and other bank personnel, as needed.
- Suggests additional products to compliment/replace, if necessary, our current loan offerings.
- Full time position, with flexible hours and overtime required outside of normal work hours. Travel is required.
