Description
Our Oncology and Hematology practice is looking for an Infusion RN to join their team! This is a part-time or full-time position. The hours are: Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M., days are flexible.
**This position is eligible for up to a $3,000 recruitment and retention bonus!!**
Responsibilities:
Placement and care of IV sites
Obtain blood specimens by peripheral vein and ports
Mixing and administration of chemotherapy products; on the job training
Administration of injections
Patient education of chemotherapy regimens and side effect management.
Document verbal conversations with patients when appropriate
Document information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
Assess vital signs and the reason for each patient visit
Triage patient phone calls: collect, analyze and create a well-documented plan of care for the patient based on their present symptoms and expected healthcare outcomes.
Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office and provider requirements.

Annual salary range: $32.00 - 45.50

Requirements
Valid NYS RN license.
Strong IV skills.
Previous experience in an RN role.
Strong computer skills.
Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols.
Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques.
Experience working in Oncology is not required!
