The Franchise General Manager is responsible for leading multiple stores (8 - 15 locations in most markets) to achieve planned sales and profits. The General Manager develops and directs office leadership teams to ensure they deliver exceptional customer service and achieve key strategies and corporate directives. This role is responsible for managing the local P&L,
recruiting, staffing, scheduling, store set-up, store operations and implementing marketing initiatives.
This position manages the day-to-day activities of seasonal team members. Drives the operation at each location to maximize the efficiency of Tax Preparer work and increase revenue and office profitability. This role has access to and regularly requires working with information of a sensitive, highly confidential nature, and dealing with diverse matters which require a working knowledge of the business.

Perform store visits with the Office Managers to evaluate and identify business opportunities to improve sales growth, and customer service. Manages budgeting, forecasting and the P&L. Accountable for achieving monthly, quarterly and annual financial targets and cash control in the assigned geographical area. Supports and leads new company initiatives.
Ensure all locations meet Company standards for office set-up, build-outs and breakdown; technology, telecommunications, office supplies and facilities maintenance. Assist in the development of strategic plans, budgets and effective business plans. Develop and carryout detailed plans that support R&L Hero Business and Tax Service dba Jackson Hewitt retail store strategies.
Perform store visits with the Store Sales Leaders to evaluate and ensure stores maintain visual
standards, proper housekeeping and high standards of organization and identify business opportunities to improve sales growth, and customer experience.
Reviews and approves work schedules and time card approvals, monitor time tracker during all shifts. Ensures all assigned locations meet company standards including but not limited to: office set
up, build-outs and breakdown, technology set up, telecommunications, office supplies and facilities maintenance. Maintains relationships with property managers and landlords. Monitors GL & P&L performance and holds/voids/rejects, discount reports and productivity reports for assigned store group. Also responsible for meeting all office goals including, but not
limited to revenue, cash control and tax return count in assigned area.
Source, attract, hire, and ensure training of top talent. Ensure all stores are maximizing Customer Service standards to drive sales through lending sales
associates to maximize the customer experience. Align all associates with company initiatives. Provide strategies and opportunities for retention by creating individual development plans. Act as a coach and mentor to store leadership by using discretion in assessing performance, providing feedback and coaching to improve performance. Foster an environment where all associates are comfortable expressing their views. Create enthusiasm, passion, and a desire to excel. Set high standards and empower others to
achieve. Maintain high morale and a high retention rate for top associates. Investigate, assess, and resolve employee relations matters and use company development and performance management tools and processes on a consistent basis. Maintain relationships with brokers, property managers and landlords. Coordinate with facilities to determine Capex budget and purchases, contractor and new office build out, design and
completion schedules. Analyze store operating policies, practices and procedures and recommend changes as
necessary. Ensure all Federal, State and Company compliance regulations are met. Other duties as assigned.
