Position Title: Plant Doctor and Plant Care Specialist
Location: Atlanta, GA (primarily Midtown Atlanta, Buckhead, and North Atlanta suburbs)
Job Type: Part-time, Independent Contractor (1099)

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Plant Doctor and Plant Care Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing weekly client plant care services, handling plant doctor appointments, creating custom planter and garden designs, and identifying new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant care, excellent customer service skills, and a proactive approach to sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Servicing Regular Clients:
- Manage weekly or bi-weekly plant care services for approximately 7-15 client accounts.
- Perform routine plant care and maintenance, ensuring the health and appearance of clients' plants.
- Tasks include watering, pruning, fertilizing, and general upkeep of indoor and outdoor plants.
- Ensure timely visits and high-quality care to build and maintain client trust and satisfaction.
Plant Doctor Appointments:
- Handle new plant doctor appointments, diagnosing and treating common plant issues such as over-watering, mealy bugs, repotting, and root rot.
- Provide clients with expert advice and solutions for their plant care needs.
- Manage your own online calendar to set availability for appointments booked via the company’s website and social media pages.
- Follow up with clients to ensure their plants recover and thrive.
Custom Planter and Garden Designs:
- Create and implement custom plant designs for clients, including planters, garden beds, and floral arrangements.
- Work with a variety of plants, including tropical plants, succulents, and flowering plants.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their space and preferences, creating designs that enhance their environment.
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify potential sales opportunities during routine plant care or plant doctor appointments.
- Engage clients in conversations about additional services and custom plant designs.
- Respond to client inquiries about new services and products, providing information and closing sales.
- For go-getters, actively seek out new business opportunities, including corporate gifting, plant care education workshops, and new client accounts.
- Earn uncapped commissions on sales generated from new business opportunities.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
- Address client queries promptly and professionally, ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
- Build long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and support as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the company’s growth strategies.
- Share insights and feedback to help improve services and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Plant Expertise: Strong background in plant care and horticulture, particularly with tropical plants and succulents.
- Diagnostic Skills: Experience in diagnosing and treating common plant issues.
- Creativity: Ability to design plant setups that transform spaces and delight clients.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills and ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
- Sales Acumen: Comfortable identifying new business opportunities and closing sales.
- Dependability and Efficiency: Strong time management and multitasking skills, able to juggle multiple tasks with ease.
- Reliable Transportation: Must have a dependable vehicle for transportation to client sites.
- Proactive Attitude: Motivated to help grow the business and eager to earn commissions on sales.
