POSITION PURPOSE
The purpose of the Digital Services Specialist is to meet or surpass clients’ expectations with their creative needs. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing all digital projects from beginning to end. They develop design strategies, delegate tasks, and mentor team members. As a lead position, they will be involved in confirming project scope and budget, as well as providing project details or participating in kickoff briefs. This role entails producing digital marketing campaigns for internal and external customers within budget and deadlines. The Digital Services Specialist will be involved in the growth and profitability of Lumen Creative through sales and marketing initiatives.
The Digital Services Specialist is responsible for managing the flow of information between various teams, including but not limited to project timelines, delegation of projects to appropriate staff, scheduling meetings, organizing and design reviews. They work with a variety of different teams (fellow designers, developers, and internal staff) to ensure that each project meets its goals in a timely fashion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Promote Lumen Creative to prospective clients, internally & externally by proactively presenting ideas and designs.
- Understanding and experience in multiple agency areas as outlined below:
Account Management:
- Consult with the Director of Marketing closely throughout the proposal and project plans and adapt project accordingly.
- Prepare and present proposals and client presentations.
- Manage most of the digital projects from start to finish.
- Propose and implement marketing strategies throughout the project cycle.
Digital Marketing:
- Understand social media marketing, making, and placing of ads or managing social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Ads, etc.
- Knowledge and applicable use of email and SMS marketing campaigns with MailChimp, ActiveCampaign or other email management platforms.
Web Design:
- Advanced WordPress knowledge and production use.
- Designs landing pages for marketing campaigns.
- Production use within Adobe Creative Cloud
- Superior organizational skills and experience meeting deadlines.
- Multi-task with high level of accuracy, follow-through, and detail-orientation.
- DNS & Domain management and maintenance
- Security and web best practices to prevent cyber events and/or recovery and clean up from malicious activities.
- Proactively present ideas and designs, internally & externally.
- Create and manage budgets for each project to assure maximum revenue management.
Video Production:
- Conceptualize video production projects including writing scripts and scheduling film production.
- On-site production utilizing photography/videography/drone.
- Responsible for managing equipment inventory and maintenance.
- Postproduction editing experience using Adobe Creative suite tools (After Effects, Premiere, Media Encoder).
- Implementation of motion graphics, video correction, audio correction
- Utilization of file encryption and compression for ensuring high-fi deliverability
- Maintain cloud library for backup, source, and final compositions.
Data Analysis:
- Knowledge and implementation of dashboard creation within Google Analytics, Octoboard, etc.
- Understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and respective implementation steps, services, and tools available.
- Utilization of web and marketing data analysis to refine and adjust campaign initiatives.
Graphic Design:
- Work directly with the leadership and stakeholders to determine clients’ desired needs, e.g. branding, marketing materials, website, etc.
- Provide design and/or branding solutions that meet or exceed clients’ needs and business goals while adhering to budget guidelines and deadlines.
- Identify and select third party providers, which are a best fit for project: including printers, copywriters, photographers, other designers, and marketing specialists and negotiate rates to complete projects timely and within budget constraints.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite to create effective marketing materials, including email campaigns, calendars, print collateral and digital assets.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or related field.
- 3-5 years of Web Development, Graphic Design, Design or Digital Project Management, or similar experience within creative services, advertising, or marketing.
- Strong portfolio showing both print and digital design proficiency.
- Successful track record in managing the delivery of multiple creative projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across levels of an organization, including with executives and other senior-level associates.
- Exceptional eye for attention to detail.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines while effectively managing multiple projects with creativity and flexibility.
- Solid familiarity with creative project management tools and techniques
- Strong comprehension of design workflow and processes.
- Direct and oversee project consultation, planning, management, production, completion, and delivery.
- Convey information to your team members and clients in a clear and concise manner. Listen to feedback and answer questions from your team members and clients.
- Some overnight travel required (10-15%).
