Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000. Placement in the range is commensurate with experience
The Dalton School, a progressive K-12 gender-inclusive school in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, is consistently recognized as one of the preeminent independent day schools in the nation. We are seeking a full-time, 12-month, Certified Athletic Trainer beginning August 2024. As an active member of the Athletic Department, the Athletic Trainer must adhere to the values and ethics of the Dalton School. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and abide by NATA standards and will report directly to the Director of Athletics and Physical Education.
Responsibilities:

Serve as an on-site athletic trainer for athletic contests and practices at all locations.

Administer prevention and care to all Dalton athletes.

Maintain accurate medical records and accident reports.

Communicate daily with coaches and athletic administration.

Review medical and sports participation forms.

Teach high school and middle school physical education classes as needed.

Perform additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training preferred

BOC Certification
-
Experience as an athletic trainer preferred

Must be available from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM approximately with the possibility of weekend games and later evenings as needed.

Strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, and a flexible schedule.
