Position Summary
This position is a Registered Nurse (RN) who performs work in the outpatient setting in an assigned geographical area at one or multiple facilities and serves as an onsite nursing level clinical and training support for other nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP). This nurse works with the established company protocols and by the direction and guidance of Nursing Leadership. The RN supports and collaborates with operations and medical leadership of each assigned facilities to ensure the clinical staff are performing at their highest potential. The Charge Nurse performs skilled nursing procedures that cannot be performed by or delegated to UAP. This role promotes quality outpatient bedside nursing care and leads by coaching and mentoring core group of clinical staff. In addition, this position assist in ensuring a safe and effective work environment.

- Performs required duties from one or multiple assigned medical center locations while supporting the clinical team with emergent patient care needs
- Performs training and competency 90 day/yearly skills assessment for new/established clinical designated staff
- Portrays interpersonal and listening skills
- Perform clinical interviews to medical assistants and nurse candidates as needed to ensure candidates poses basic clinical safety skills
- Establishes effective, two-way communication with interdepartmental staff and leaders as a liaison between operations and clinical teams.
- Serves as role model to staff, reinforcing principles of service orientation and ensuring that the focus is always on improving patient care and/or services
- Ensures a safe and effective working environment; performs and coaches the staff on regulatory required safety guidelines and walkthroughs, including infection control, emergency kits and equipment, patient identification, and clinical errors preventions
- Monitors compliance with policies, procedures, Standards of Practice and performs associated actions upon non-compliance after reporting to direct facilities management and Nursing Leadership
- Practices and is proficient in proper delegation standards
- Assist in the yearly policies and procedures required review as designated by Nursing Leadership
- Assists in the maintenance of medical center’s budget and inventory by placing cost-effective weekly orders of clinical supply and vaccines.
- Oversee that clinical procedures are being performed properly such as vaccinations, medication injections, EKGs, earl lavages, among others.
- Performs the higher level advanced wound cares that are not under the unlicensed assistive personnel’s scope of practice as state laws permit.
- Supports company change initiatives, maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures.
- Flexible in work schedule and location changes as needed
- Communicates to Nursing Leadership the performance status of their area’s productivity, policy compliance and staff development
- Maintains effective and efficient use of equipment and supplies, ensures that clinical equipment is functional and reports global needs for replacements and repairs
- Assist in company health fairs and events

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to work standing up, walk, use hands to operate tools and equipment and must be able to exert regularly up to 10 pounds of force, frequently exert 30 pounds of force and occasionally exert 50 pounds of force to constantly perform the essential job functions. The employee will be frequently required to reach with hands and arms, bend, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, and pull. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The worker is subject to noise; there may be sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
Required Education and Experience
- Active clear state Registered Nurse License
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, ASN
- 1+ years outpatient primary care setting
- Proficient in ECW, Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Fluent written and spoken communication in English
- CPR-BLS required
- Urgent Care-Emergency exp
Preferred Education and Experience
- 2+ year in primary and urgent care setting
- Bachelor of Nursing preferred
- Knowledge of state scope of practices of nursing and of Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP)
- Worked independently
- ACLS preferred
- Spanish preferred
