- Analyzes incoming materials in accordance to USDA and company specifications; conducting visual inspections and quality analysis; noting any potential quality issues and/or any potential food safety hazards.
- Approves in-process production via visual inspections and quality analysis; communicating any potential issues or required adjustments needed with to production line operator.
- Approves finished products by confirming USDA and/or customer specifications; conducting visual inspections, quality analysis, and CCP testing; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
- Documents inspection results by completing relevant documentation and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; notifying supervisor when non-conformities are found and repairs are needed.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following company’s good manufacturing practices and procedures; complying with all food safety and legal regulations and internal protocols.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; on the job training, reading technical publications.
- Participate in out-of-specification and/or failure investigations and recommend corrective actions. (as needed)
- Have reliable transportation.
