Position Purpose
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Assistant / Field Quality Control. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in the efficient operation of our warehouse while ensuring that all outgoing products meet our quality standards. This position will also perform quality checks on installed labor in the field on new builds and remodels.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in receiving, storing, and organizing incoming shipments of building materials.
- Prepares outgoing orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling products according to customer specifications.
- Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Maintains a clean and organized warehouse environment to ensure a safe working environment and facilitates efficient workflow.
- Assists with other warehouse tasks as needed, including but not limited to restocking shelves, loading and unloading trucks, and inventory management.
- Works with subcontractors to maintain high quality job standards.
- Conducts field audits and job site/safety inspections.
- Makes repairs onsite as necessary.
- Address customer concerns and issues, escalating them as necessary for job completion and customer satisfaction.
- Respond to builder and/or post-sale customer concerns regarding warranty issues, repairs, and material or quality issues.
- Communicates with installers to ensure clear understanding of job specifications and installation requirements to maintain high quality job standards.
- Work with account representatives in various departments to ensure that complete information is provided for work assignments.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and quality control guidelines.
- Communicates effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Knowledges, Skills and Abilities
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate quality control inspections.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software a plus.
Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
Able to conduct oneself in a professional manner and ensure personal appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job functions while representing the company.
Able to read and write load diagrams, shipping orders, work instructions and various business communication documents.
Able to complete mathematical calculations associated with truck load weights and quantities.
Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines.
Must pass pre-employment drug test and random drug tests after hiring.
Education, Qualifications, Licensing Requirements
High school diploma. GED, or equivalent.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
Must have a valid Driver’s License and maintain the license with an acceptable driving record.
Management Preference
Previous industry knowledge.
Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment.
Bilingual skills (English and Spanish).
Working Conditions
Fast paced work environment with, in and around other forklifts, tractor trailers and other vehicles. Outdoor environment includes conditions of dust, noise, temperature variations and rain/snow.
Physical requirements
Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat kneel, climb, and reach overhead. Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time. Must wear PPE including hardhat, safety shoes, ear, hands and eye protection.
