Job Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Associate is a critical member of the manufacturing team as they are responsible for incoming shipments & deliveries, verify product received corresponds with packing slip and ensure all materials are received timely in our manufacturing software system.
-Income is Paid Weekly
Essential Functions
- Compares identifying information - counts, weights, or measurements of incoming and outgoing product to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
· Unpacks and examines incoming shipments and verifies to purchase order. Rejects damaged items, reports and records shortages and overages.
· Use manufacturing system software (i.e. SAP, Oracle, Epicor) to ship orders, pull, and put away new inventory.
· Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
· Daily component packaging, and customer customization order filling within the delivery and packing system.
- Conducts material counts as required.
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
- Experience processing shipments, domestic and international, using UPS, FedEx, and DHL software.
Physical/Environmental Demands
- Typical Production floor environment, which may require daily standing up to 100%.
- Ability to move, pack and unpack production materials.
- Frequently lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to heat generated from a packaging machine.
Education
High school diploma or GED and certification from technical school or equivalent experience.
Background/Training/Skills/Experience
- One to three years shipping/receiving experience or training.
· Must have ability to multitask and interact with all levels of employees.
- The ability to pass certification and operate cranes and other material handling equipment in the plant.
- Tow motor experience a must.
- Must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft office package.
- Must have strong skills in manufacturing software systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
