Job Summary
Currently looking for an ambitious and conscientious Field Service Technician to fill an openings with our company. Interested candidates should have 3 - 5 years’ experience working with CNC controls and 3 - 5 years’ experience with CNC machine servicing and repair.
Job Responsibilities
The CNC Field Service Technician will have an extensive understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics to effectively detect and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical components. This position reports directly to the Service Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Traveling to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all machine tool equipment and controls for customer organizations.
- Utilizing machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to research machine issues.
- Ensuring proper documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer in regards to status of machine issues, repairs, and installation.
- Promoting and performing preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment.
- Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in mechanical/electrical repair of CNC machine tools, Fanuc, Fagor Control background a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics are required.
- Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills are a must.
- The CNC Field Service Technician must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience required, light electrical.
- Must have own hand tools and reliable transportation.
- Should be able to read schematics; Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic.
- Must be able to rig and lift "Safely" large machine parts.
- Must be able to read accurately precision measuring equipment.
- Must be able to trouble shoot Turret, Ball Screw, Spindle, Draw Bar, Tool Changer and Hydraulic problems.
- This position requires travel and driving throughout the Dallas Fort Worth area.
