Overview:
The Goalkeeper Coach will be responsible for the development and performance of all goalkeepers within the club. This role involves creating and implementing training programs, providing technical and tactical instruction, and offering ongoing support and mentorship to goalkeepers across various age groups and competitive levels. The goalkeeping coach will be responsible for assisting goalkeepers aged 8 all the way to adult pre-professional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Development
- Design and conduct age-appropriate training sessions focusing on technical skills, tactical understanding, physical conditioning, and mental toughness specific to goalkeeping.
- Develop various training plans to address the specific needs and goals of each goalkeeper.
- Incorporate coaching techniques and sessions to enhance training effectiveness and player development.
Game Preparation
- Analyze and prepare goalkeepers for matches, emphasizing positioning, decision-making, and communication.
- Provide pre-game, in-game, and post-game feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
Mentorship
- Act as a mentor and role model for goalkeepers, fostering a supportive and positive learning environment.
- Offer guidance on nutrition, fitness, injury prevention, and recovery practices.
- Conduct regular sessions to discuss progress, set goals, and address any concerns.
Communication
- Work closely with the Director of Coaching and team coaching staff to ensure a thorough coaching approach.
- Attend team meetings, training sessions, and matches to provide consistent support and feedback
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a goalkeeping coach at various levels
- Relevant coaching experience and licenses
- Availability to work weeknights, weekends, and travel when needed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
