Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Meat Manager to oversee our meat department and ensure the highest quality of products and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production, culinary arts, and exceptional customer service.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of the meat department including ordering, receiving, stocking, and merchandising
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards
- Train and supervise meat department staff on proper food handling, cutting techniques, and customer service
- Monitor inventory levels and participate in inventory management
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Interact with customers to provide product information, recommendations, and resolve any issues
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a grocery store or retail environment
- Knowledge of meat cutting techniques, food preparation, and packaging
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers effectively
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and culinary practices
