We are seeking a Chef de Cuisine with a background in French cuisine to lead our BOH team. The CDC is responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, managing the team, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional dining experiences.
Basic Duties:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
- Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Monitor food and labor costs, working towards achieving budget targets
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations, food management, and team management
- Strong culinary skills with expertise in various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Excellent leadership abilities to effectively manage a team of kitchen staff
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, upscale environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food service best practices, including portion control and food safety standards
- Proficient in food preparation techniques, including but not limited to baking, grilling, sautéing, etc.
