The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of commercial construction projects. This individual will collaborate with the project management team, subcontractors, design team, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities
- Collaborate with Project Manager to develop project timelines and milestones
- Prepare, maintain and track project correspondence and documentation, including drawings, specifications, schedules, subcontracts, payment applications, purchase orders, invoices, insurance, submittals, RFIs, ASIs, change estimates, change orders, project logs, etc
- Generate regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Monitor subcontractor performance and address any issues that may arise
- Implement and enforce quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure construction standards are met
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality
- Maintain clear, open and effective communication with project team members, subcontractors, and clients
- Attend project meetings and document meeting minutes and provide updates on project status and progress
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed by the business
Qualifications
- GC experience
- Proven work experience as a Project Engineer in commercial construction with familiarity with the various trades
- Ability to read jobsite drawings of various disciplines and assist with estimating duties
- Quantity Take-offs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience in Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, and Microsoft Project
- Results-orientated with proven ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work tasks to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; communicates effectively with management, employees, customers, and vendors
- High level of motivation, integrity, and commitment to team and customers
- Strong work ethic with an unwavering commitment to quality and professional work
- Demonstrates the ability to tactfully handle difficult situations
- Demonstrates good judgment in investigating problems
- Able to apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills to complex projects
- Must be able to work in fast-paced environment and able to quickly adapt and adjust to address the needs of the project and customer
