Leading plastics manufacturing company based in Los Angeles, CA, dedicated to delivering high-quality products to their clients across various industries. is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager. This is a direct hire position and salary range is 100 to 125K DOE.
Job Summary:
As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and completing engineering projects related to manufacturing processes, supporting infrastructures, and facilities. Working in coordination with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments, you will specify, design, and commission projects while ensuring adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints. You will play a crucial role in implementing new and continuous improvements to plant efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and complete engineering projects related to manufacturing processes, supporting infrastructures, and facilities.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and others to specify, design, and commission projects.
- Support and maintain project administration documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
- Implement new and continuous improvements to plant efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
- Perform detailed analysis, present technical solutions, and optimize configuration layouts to enhance existing and future operations.
- Provide support to the finance group and assist in capital appropriation administration.
- Complete assignments, duties, and tasks in alignment with business and management objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in project management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics manufacturing.
- Strong technical background with expertise in manufacturing processes and facilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
