Job Title: Project Estimator
Roofing and Sheet Metal company seeking a Project Estimator. This professional is responsible for accurately calculating the total costs associated with a construction project or the development of a new product. The cost estimator's conclusions will help the company assess the feasibility of moving forward with the proposed project.
Specifically, a project estimator will take into consideration all relevant factors in the plan such as materials, labor, and equipment, as well as related expenses including insurance, taxes and incidental costs due to delays. A project estimator may also review bids offered by subcontractors to choose the most cost-effective option.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as client advocate to protect client’s interest and expectations throughout construction process.
- Correspond with Senior Project Manager on behalf of client. Maintain open communication with all parties.
- Manage activities related to change orders, schedules, and procurement.
- Attend project meetings required to successfully coordinate work activity.
- Provide general technical leadership for the project.
- Maintain all project records and monitor correspondence with vendors, contractors, and client. This includes weekly progress reports, rolling punch lists, change orders, design records, and other documents as required.
- Schedule and organize work to minimize disruption to client’s existing employees. This includes noise, dust, debris, access, and foot traffic.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in all aspects of construction and knowledgeable in roofing and sheet metal a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office & Project software.
- Knowledge of Plans/Blueprints
- Knowledge of Estimating Edge Program
Attendance/Travel:
This position is a full-time salaried position. This position requires the availability to work some nights, and weekends. This position also requires regular attendance and active participation/planning at all company functions and events. This position requires traveling to multiple job sites as needed and go to required bid openings.

Pay: $73,912.00 - $78,866.00 per year
