The Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Coordinator is the point person for the facility to the Regional CI Leader with coordination and leadership of all onsite continuous improvement projects. Creates a rapport with floor personnel to garner genuine Voice of the Employee (VOE) ideas for Focused Improvement Projects and generates enthusiasm toward engagement in projects. Provides administrative and data collection functions for plant TPM related events, 6S, Blitz, and Process Quality and Operations Training initiatives and events. The TPM Coordinator assists with trending and educating floor personnel on the importance of their engagement toward continuous improvement efforts. Shares best practices with division and other internally affected work groups. This is an hourly paid position and reports to the Site Leader.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Tracks plant continuous improvement efforts utilizing systems available and ensures “Sustain” portion of all events is maintained in a methodical manner.
- Provides all TPM Step 0-3 and general awareness TPM training onsite.
- Attends all TPM meetings, works with leaders to advance team capabilities in problem solving, critical thinking, and analysis of issues to root cause solutions.
- Process expert in training laypersons on LEAN Tools
- Enters required data on control charts
- Maintains the plants TPM related scorekeeping, ensures all remain up to date, and audits weekly to ensure sustained activity.
- Assist operations and maintenance in identifying and communicating any quality or process issues.
- Owner/Administrator of plant SharePoint/Box site – responsible to create, organize, and maintain the site so that the contents add value and allow ease of access to employees who need the information.
- Use data driven decisions to help the Technical, Operations and Maintenance departments become more proactive in process control and reaction.
- Train operations employees on how to read and understand the benefits of control charting.
- Uses safe work practices and reports any hazardous conditions or unsafe acts at all times
- Communicates and coordinates regularly with Shift Leader on product and process issues seen throughout shift.
- Follow the company waste management program – separate all recyclable material and discard waste into the appropriate containers, not only for plant production waste, but also any individual waste brought and/or used on site by an employee.
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as directed.
- Follows all plant and safety rules and regulations.
- Maintains good housekeeping in work area at all times
- Regular on site attendance is required

- Log on to company computer systems

- Microsoft applications and presentation ability– Word, Excel (to include pivot table, database management), and PowerPoint
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required within one year of employment
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred (coursework in statistical analysis and manufacturing operations management strongly preferred)
