Position Summary/Objectives:
Material Coordinator/Planner (MPS) gives a formal detail plan and converts this plan into specific material requirements to Procurement. Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring products through the complete production cycle. Contract line item delivery schedules. Special work around plans and schedules including unforeseen events. Coordinate and integrate work package and schedules to both supply chain and operations. Set up pull and planned to floor schedules.
Essential Functions:

Develops, publishes, and maintains allocations, balancing inventory, resources and capacity. Negotiates corrective actions to product schedules when dictated by changes in business.

Acts as liaison between Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales to control Production schedule. Assists other production support groups in achieving corporate goals.

Cost savings and Non-Conformance entries

Participates in new/sustaining product teams, representing materials, scheduling, and revenue concerns.

Develops and documents internal and interface procedures to ensure consistent Master Scheduling policy, and for assembly scheduling. Works to optimize schedule to achieve corporate goals of revenue, profitability and cost savings (Rails LOB.s etc)

Assists with system implementation issues relative to the Master Scheduling process.

Develops and maintains planning BOM (estimate sheets)

Monitors performance to Production Schedule.

Adhere to company safety requirements.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.

Requirements:
Required Education and Experience:
1-3 years of experience – Aerospace/Automotive Manufacturing
