Job Description: As the Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing warehouse operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will ensure the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of our products, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership:
· Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
· Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff to achieve performance targets and maintain a positive work environment.
2. Inventory Management:
· Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
3. Team Leadership:
· Lead and motivate warehouse staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
· Provide guidance to ensure the team meets productivity and performance targets.
4. Quality Assurance:
· Ensure that all products meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.
· Implement and monitor food safety protocols.
5. Process Optimization:
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiency-enhancing measures to streamline warehouse operations.
6. Safety Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety inspections.
· Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination in the supply chain.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field.
· Previous experience in warehouse management or a similar role, within a minimum of 2 years of experience.
· Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
· Strong understanding of inventory management principles and experience implementing inventory control systems.
· Knowledge of quality assurance processes and food safety regulations.
· Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement efficiency-enhancing measures.
· Familiarity with safety regulations and experience implementing safety protocols in the warehouse setting.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Proficiency in relevant software applications such as inventory management systems, warehouse management systems, Microsoft Office suite, etc.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
