Position: Network Engineer / AFIN DoDIN Mapping (Cyber Requirements Development Support) - (Future)
Location: JBSA-Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX
Security Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI
Position Type / Standard Work Hours: Full-time/40 hours per week
Summary / Objective:
Review, assess, and provide recommendations on existing and emerging Air Force Information Network (AFIN) capabilities requests and/or requirements.
Tasks include:
- Knowledge of the AFIN, to include design, function of individual components, and concept of employment, validating requests and/or requirements applying to the AFIN.
- Identifying, developing, evaluating, updating, and maintaining AF cyber requirements documents for the AFIN.
- Normalizing/integrating cyber needs into existing AF and MAJCOM requirements development processes.
- Conducting Operational Acceptance Process readiness reviews for the AFIN.
- Introduction of cyber capabilities to the AFIN (e.g. directory services, e-mail, SharePoint, VoIP, Unified Communications), and the on-boarding of Functional Systems that utilize the AFIN.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop annual emerging Cyber Science & Technology (S&T) assessments.
Tasks include:
- Providing input to and creating assessments compliant with guidance and policy.
Support requirements development through analysis of AF and FA8773-18-F-0047 16 AF/OC Consolidated Analytic Support Contract (CASC) CCMD needs (via IPLs, CONOPs, JUONS, etc.).
Tasks include:
- Analyzing concept documents across DoD in support of cyberspace capabilities development and analyzing capabilities in order to assess the integration of cyberspace capabilities into current operations.
- Review requirements, conduct analysis, validate, and develop plans for the integration of Air Force non-kinetic OCO weapons systems capabilities into JFHQC-AF to support AF and CCMD missions.

NOTE: Deliverables listed apply to each of the above sub-paragraphs. All tasks require providing analysis reports, providing recommendations, providing operational documents (OPLANS, CONOPS, etc.), input to and creating staff products (briefings, white papers etc.), monthly and/or weekly reports, planning documents, trip reports, meeting minutes and other associated documents that are compliant with applicable guidance and policy.
Required Education and/or Experience:
- Experience with the DoD Framework Architecture (Level II certified in AFIN DoDIN mapping).
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not supervise the work of others.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment.

Very little.
