Job Summary:
Packaging Designer will conceptualize, design, and create attractive, functional, and on-brand packaging based on requirements. They will be responsible for creating visually stunning and functional packaging designs that elevate our brand presence and drive product success.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with sales and product development teams to understand product requirements, target audience, and brand identity.
- Conceptualizing and executing creative print design ideas, including visuals for packaging and trade marketing
- Creating prototypes and mock-ups to test the functionality, aesthetics, and practicality of packaging designs.
- Build creative packaging solutions that appeal to a broad audience to support a web to print internet store front.
- Assist in managing our packaging product catalog and offerings.
- Presenting ideas, concepts and design solutions to various stakeholders and incorporating feedback into your final design
- Liaising with sales and production teams to ensure proof is of good quality and in line with production specifications.
- Staying up to date with consumer and market trends for packaging materials
- Adhering to regulatory requirements and industry guidelines to ensure compliance with labeling, safety, and product information standards.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ideally will have a degree/diploma in Design, Fine Arts, or related field.
- Prior experience as a Packaging Designer as well as a strong portfolio of sample projects
- Possess a good knowledge of tools such as Adobe creative suite and 3D design software, specifically Esko Artios CAD
- Familiar with various packaging materials, production techniques, and printing processes
- Eye for detail, strong aesthetic sensibility, and the ability to translate brand identity into visually stunning packaging designs.
- Understanding of packaging, health, and safety regulations
- Strong sense of esthetics and a keen eye for detail
- Good communication skills and are both a self-starter and a strong team player.
- Experience in a prepress environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- Technical School Training in graphic art, packaging, or design
- 5 years or more designing folding box packaging.
Physical Requirements:
· Employee will be moving for the length of the shift, walk, stand, lift continuously. Must have finger and hand dexterity. May reach, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, and reach at odd angles. The plant is constructed on concrete floors.
· Occasionally moves/lifts up to 25 pounds; moves items over 100 pounds (with mechanical assistance).
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision; Distance vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception; Ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to see and distinguish between colors.
· Typical manufacturing environment includes prolonged exposure to loud machine & noises, temperature varies, continuously working around machinery with fast, moving parts. Extreme cold (non-weather); Extreme heat (non-weather); Risk of electrical shock; the employee is regularly working near moving mechanical parts; Works in high, precarious places.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
