SUMMARY
Provides clerical responsibilities to the Warehouse. Compiles shipping and receiving documentation. Assist with shipping and receiving materials for the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (approx. 80%) include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Reads system reports to determine customer orders requiring shipment, availability of stock, and order priority. Verifies and maintains special customer requirements. Generates shipping documents.
Confers with customer service or management to determine disposition of past due and quarantined product, and order status.
Compiles and maintains shipping records.
Receives material in system, and maintains consignment warehouses in system.
Maintains system files and reports for special or periodic inventories. Confers with corporate IT during the process.
Key information into computer to prepare shipping and billing documents, copying information from one record to another.
Key data into spreadsheets.
Proofreads, sorts, and files records.
Answers and conveys information via telephone, email, etc.
Performs activities of other Warehouse Department personnel as stated below (approximately 20%):
Receives incoming raw materials and miscellaneous items using manual and computerized systems.
Conveys materials and items from receiving or staging areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Assembles customer orders from stock identified on picking list and prepares orders for shipment to satisfy customer requirements.
Utilizes bar-coding system and marks orders with identifying information to verify accuracy.
Notifies carriers to schedule outgoing shipments.
Compiles packing list and certifications based on customer requirements and attaches to shipment.
Prepares parcels for UPS.
Operates fork lift truck, hand truck, push cart, or carries; to move, convey, or hoist materials, including the loading of trucks.
Follows documented quality procedures to satisfy TS 16949 certification requirements.
Communicates suggested process improvements, safety hazards and equipment problems to the Warehouse Supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and shipping instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percent.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
