We are a 8-bed, critical access hospital providing emergency services, offering family practice medicine while also operating a skilled nursing facility, a rural healthcare clinic, physical therapy and other ancillary services including general surgery, lab services, diagnostic imaging, wound care and ambulance service. We built a new Hospital facility which opened in the fall of 2020 and we are designing a new Skilled Nursing Facility which is planned to open in the fall of 2025.

The Modoc National Forest encompasses over twenty-five campgrounds at various settings and elevations to suit any of your recreational needs including hiking, backpacking, and bicycling trails. The forest also provides fishing where you can catch trout, catfish, bass and many more varieties.
Modoc County is an ideal place for hunting, whether it be for big game, waterfowl or small game. The area is known for its trophy mule deer, antelope and its developing elk population.

Modoc Joint Unified School District (MJUSD) is a K-12 district that offers an elementary school, a middle school, a high school, a continuation school, adult education, as well as one small rural school located in an outlying area. In June of 2013, Modoc High School made it on the list of, “Best High Schools in America” by US News and World Report. 21,000 schools were evaluated and 4,620 received the honor of being selected. MJUSD provides its students with numerous extra-curricular activities including drama, academic clubs, student government, Future Farmers of America (FFA), band and choir, as well as a highly successful and competitive athletic program.
Job Description
Modoc Medical Center is accepting applications for a full-time benefitted Radiologic Technologist in the Acute Hospital. Under the supervision of the Radiology Technologist Manager, the Radiologic Technologist performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols and functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.
Requirements/Certifications:
- Current CA Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure
- Excellent computer skills
- Must have a current CPR card and attend infection control and safety classes annually.
- CT, X-ray and Fluoroscopy experience preferred.
Job Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients. Responsible for the safe handling of equipment
- Instructs and prepares patients for radiology examinations
- Selects appropriate equipment to use for procedures.
- Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure; makes appropriate physician contact for intervention
- Processes x-rays
- Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures
- Interacts professionally with patient/family.
- Compiles and maintains quality assurance information State of CA Department of Health Standards, the FDA and the Department of Health and Human Services.
