Position Overview:
As a Heavy Truck Assembler, you will play a crucial role in building our world-class vacuum trucks. Using hand and power tools you’ll assemble component parts, following blueprints, work orders, and other specifications. You'll typically work on the same truck for 2-3 days, completing more than 100 processes, ensuring each unit meets our high standards. Your experience and attention to detail will be key to our success.

We have been designing and manufacturing high-quality vacuum truck Equipment since 1973 that include the most innovative features available in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble components accurately and efficiently.
- Produce assemblies with zero defects.
- Set up assembly jobs by locating parts and gathering materials according to work orders.
- Align components and assemble them using hand tools or portable power tools.
- Drill, tap, or ream holes as necessary for proper assembly.
- Connect auxiliary pneumatic or hydraulic lines and cut/fit pipe and tubing as needed.
- Remove small quantities of metal using hand tools to clean parts or ensure proper fit.
- Follow established safety procedures at all times.
- Complete assemblies within the allotted time frame.
- Properly document all quality checklists, material lists, and inspection forms.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in mechanical assembly or vehicle mechanics (minimum 1 year required).
- Basic knowledge of hand tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on attitude and the ability to meet assembly deadlines.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a non-climate-controlled metal manufacturing environment.
- Respectfully communicate with supervisors and fellow employees.
- Read and comprehend blueprints and tape measures.
- Torque bolts to 40 ft/lbs.
- Work with arms elevated for periods up to 5 minutes at a time.
- Perform various visual processing tasks (near, far, depth, color).
- Work in an environment with noise levels of 75-decibels (25-decibels with earplugs).
- Bend, stoop, crouch, or kneel for up to 1 hour and be on your feet for 90% of your shift.
- Walk up to 75% on concrete surfaces.
- Climb 13ft ladders with 12-inch rungs.
- Lift, push, and/or pull up to 40lbs and carry that weight for 5ft.
