Summary
The Ops Support position is responsible for providing streamlined operational support to the Carrier team to Deliver Positive Experiences. This role involves managing shipment details, monitoring in-transit freight, coordinating with carriers, recording transactional data, and maintaining effective communication with internal and external connections. An ideal candidate will possess a can-do proactive attitude with the ability to adapt to ever-changing market conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Tracking: Ensure shipment details are accurately communicated and tracked. Monitor covered and in-transit freight through calling drivers or Macro Point tracking product flow from origin to final delivery.
- Operational Transactions: Obtain complete and accurate information from the customers, relay information to the drivers, and enter into the dispatch. Coordinates with carriers to ensure on-time delivery by tracking trucks for pick-up, estimating times of arrival and delivery, and recovering loads when necessary.
- Expectation Management: Confirm that each Partner Carrier has an adequate understanding of all customers and company expectations on each load at the point of dispatch e.g., shipping details and instructions, company policy compliance.
- Service Excellence: Promptly answer calls and correspondences, addressing inquiries and providing information. Resolve concerns as they arise and escalate as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate and communicate with internal team members for alignment and to ensure streamlined operations.
- Technology Utilization: Navigate Transportation Management System (TMS) and related technology tools to manage and record transactions and tasks compliant with company standard operating procedures.
- Data Documentation: Ensure all transactions, documentation, and interactions are accurately recorded.
- Market Analysis: Stay up to date on the industry and market with the ability to adapt to the ever-changing market conditions.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned to support the overall logistics and tracking functions.

Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Supply Chain or equivalent experience in a supply chain or administrative role.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with Transportation Management System (TMS) and basic understanding of the logistics industry.
- Prior experience in logistics, transportation, sales, or a service-focused role preferred.
