We are looking for a CORE Field Service Technician to join our Field Services team.
CORE Linepipe USA, Inc. is a privately held oilfield pipeline manufacturing and service company. The Company manufactures and installs a unique factory-built pipe-in-pipe corrosion-resistant pipeline system. CORE’s linepipe product called CORE Liner® uses an outer steel pipe for structural integrity and damage-resistance with a polymer liner inserted in the pipe for a reliable and durable corrosion-resistant barrier. During pipeline construction, welding is eliminated by coupling the steel pipe with a patented mechanism called ClickWeld® which provides a strong, efficient method of joining the steel pipe without compromising the internal plastic liner.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Field Superintendent, the CORE Field Service Technician is an integral member of CORE’s field services team who complete the installation of CORE’s products on various customer worksites located throughout the United States.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under the direction of CORE’s Field Foreman, duties will include general labor, assisting with pipe joining procedures, and performing fusion operations.
- Ensure the completion of tasks are in accordance with CORE’s policies and procedures to ensure safety and quality.
- Collaborate with pipeline construction companies and other service providers on customer worksites to ensure the efficient installation of CORE’s products.
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
- Complete all tasks assigned by the Field Foreman.
- Execute tasks in a professional manner, and on time.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in pipeline construction or similar working in remote locations for extended periods of time.
- Experience interacting with various on-site stakeholders (inspectors, contractors, client reps, etc.)
- Be able to lift 50 pounds and be physically able and willing to perform manual work.
- Complete a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening and fitness test.
- Possess a valid Driver's License.
In addition to the above, the following would be considered an asset:
- Have current First Aid certification.
- Have H2S Awareness certification.
- Experience with oil and gas steel pipeline construction.
- Experience with poly pipeline fusion.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- This is a project-based position, requiring extensive travel and overtime. While on a project expect 12 hour days, 6-7 days a week, with scheduled days off.
- The ideal candidate must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, be willing to travel, and willing and able to work for extended hours and days in a physically challenging environment.
