Job Summary
As a Maintenance Technician (PM shift 6 pm-6 am), you will play a vital role in keeping our client's bakery running smoothly. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your responsibilities will include maintaining and optimizing production and facility equipment, ensuring maximum uptime, and resolving electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical issues. Responsibilities
- Electrical Expertise: Troubleshoot and replace 3 Phase motors, VFDs, and low voltage DC circuits. Proficiently read and interpret electrical schematics. Address issues with various electrical devices like proximity sensors, photo eyes, relays, contactors, and safety relays.
- Mechanical and Technical Skills: Interpret machine electrical and mechanical drawings. Troubleshoot electrical control circuits and standard safety circuits. Repair and rebuild electrical and mechanical components Identify and replace worn bushings or bearings when necessary.
- Maintenance and Fabrication: Handle the installation, modification, and fabrication of equipment to align with production requirements.
- Communication and Collaboration: Ensure clear communication of maintenance situations across shifts, particularly with the Maintenance Team Leader and Maintenance Manager. Engage actively in continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on safety, quality, and housekeeping.
- Versatility and Initiative: Tackle additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager Develop welding skills, especially with TIG (though we also use Stick and MIG)
Requirements
- Electrical Expertise: Proficiency in industrial electrical work, including experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, 3-phase motors, variable speed drivers, and controls
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience: 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, particularly in repairing and troubleshooting pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, 3-phase motors, variable speed drivers, and controls
- Skills: Capability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision
