About Us
Our mission is to develop transformational genetic medicines utilizing novel delivery technologies, with an emphasis on diseases with significant unmet medical need. Our team is advancing multiple innovative approaches to deliver a variety of therapeutic payloads, focusing initially on gene editing in therapeutically relevant cells and tissues. Our world class scientific founders include Professor David Liu (HHMI, Broad and Harvard) and Professor Keith Joung (Arena BioWorks, formerly MGH), and we are funded with a significant capital investment by leading life science venture capital firms including Newpath Partners, Atlas Venture, F-Prime Capital, and 5AM Ventures. We believe that our technology has the potential to positively impact patients suffering from severe genetic diseases, and we are committed to building an excellent, science-driven and diverse team that is passionate about making a difference. Nvelop Therapeutics is based in Cambridge, MA.
Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and growth-oriented Scientist I/II to join our In vivo/Cell Biology team. The successful candidate will lead in vivo studies to include study design, animal ordering, perform dosing of mice, harvest, and processing of tissues, immunophenotyping and lead PK/PD efforts.
This individual will join a multidisciplinary team of scientists and contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will help build a first-class in-vivo/in-vitro preclinical and translational group and establish core capabilities for characterizing non-viral drug delivery vehicles.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with relevant in vivo models including a variety of procedures and techniques such as animal manipulation and dosing, necropsy, ex vivo tissue dissociation, primary cell culture, and multicolor flow cytometry experience or curiosity to learn. The ideal candidate will have the capability and desire to learn and apply new experimental methodologies, drive to execution, experimental rigor, and scientific curiosity! We are a small and growing company, so the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities is a must.
