Description:
The Event Designer is a full-time, design, sales, event management, and customer service position with an emphasis on custom events. Responsible for sales generation, leadership, and profitability while managing a team of Crew Leaders and Installers through the successful execution of events for new and existing customers.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Event Designer is responsible for all aspects of event management for custom events.

Take ownership of assigned and new clients in interpreting creative ideas and develop plans to execute on those ideas.

Work with assigned clients to build Quotes and Proposals for Events.

Prepare all appropriate work items to communicate the needs and timelines for Events.

Ensure all Event related paperwork is completed accurately.

Ensure that Events provide maximum profitability.

Secure materials and services as necessary to support Event execution.

Oversee the successful execution of Events by leading the team as well as participating in set-up.

Manage client relationships to build a reputation for excellent service and generate repeat business.

Grow revenue of existing accounts and identify new business opportunities.

Attending Industry-related functions as needed.

Engage in social media by creating contact and interacting with other brands

Collect payment from clients.

Cultivate a “problem-solving” mentality
The Event Designer must work closely with the operations team to ensure staffing, and equipment needs are prepared for successful execution. The Event Designer must oversee and participate in the execution of custom events.
It is our philosophy to treat each customer as our first priority. The Event Designer must always be aware of any special needs the customer may have. The Event Designer is responsible for all customer service issues that may arise at any Quest Events job.

Qualifications:

2-Year Associate’s Degree, 4-year Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

2-4 years of exceeding sales goals, experience selling to large, complex accounts using a consultative selling process.

Demonstrated high ethical behavior, unquestionable integrity and character.

Valid Driver’s License.

Experience in a service-oriented business.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Ability to work long hour when necessary.

Must be comfortable with heights and working from a ladder or scaffolding.
