We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. We have competitive compensation and benefit’s program. You would be supporting providers by taking vitals and assisting with exams and procedures.
Responsibilities:
· Answer phones and return calls
· Oversee day to day provider schedules and clinic flow
· Maintain clear and detailed documentation in patients’ charts
· Greet patients, obtain their medical histories and verify patient information
· Assist providers with all aspects of patient care
· Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with the examination and/or procedure
· Give counseling, care and follow-up instructions, health education and materials to patients as instructed by provider
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with taking and recording vital signs
· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
· Strong verbal and written skills
· Experience with EMR systems
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office
· Understanding of a medical office setting and HIPAA requirements
· Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program or hold a Medical Assistant Certification
· BLS certification for the Healthcare by American Heart Association (AHA)
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 1 years experience working as a Medical Assistant
· Knowledge of medical terminology, referral procedures and health insurance plans
· Knowledge of ICD 10 and CPT coding
