Medical Receptionist
Overview:
Join our healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist, playing a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient service.
- As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing administrative support and maintaining a welcoming environment in our medical office. This is a clerical position involving daily face to face contact with patients, EMR usage, and maintaining medical record requests. This position is the first contact for the patients, caregivers, and public upon entering the clinic so excellent customer service skills and professionalism is required at all times. Flexibility, accuracy, organization, and capability of multitasking while managing the work load will be needed. Individual must be dependable, punctual, and follow all clinic policies at all times.

Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations
- Professionally and kindly communicating when addressing and answering questions with patients upon arriving to clinic
- Correctly identify patients and maintaining up to date demographics.
- Obtaining all information needed for EMR including but not limited to: demographics, insurance, required paperwork, and inputting or scanning into the EMR
- Obtaining patient authorization for medical records release (HIPPA Compliance)
- Collecting co-pays and payments (cash, credit, check)
- Balancing cash drawer and cash box daily
- Answering questions about minor billing issues
- Maintain medical records request in a timely fashion
- Maintain cleanliness of waiting room, waiting room restroom room, and desk area.
- Answering the phone as needed.
- Dress is clean, neat, and within clinic policy at all times

Hours of clinic operation
- Monday thru Thursday 8am-5pm
- Fridays 8am-12pm
- no weekends or holidays required

Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
