Job Summary
The Computer Security Systems Specialist is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the security, protection, and access control of the company's computer systems and data. This role involves drafting and implementing security policies, conducting system audits, providing training on system security, and managing incident response activities
Responsibilities-Duties

Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the company's control requirements manual (CRM) or related documentation.

Act as a liaison to the company's security office for local and network security matters.

Manage computer and network access for system users, assigning passwords and user IDs.

Monitor system usage to verify proper information access levels.

Investigate and report improper use or violations to the Director of Information Systems.

Ensure physical security of computer hardware and related equipment.

Oversee backup procedures for company information to mitigate data loss risks.

Conduct information systems audits to safeguard against breaches and unauthorized access.

Plan and conduct user training sessions to enhance system security awareness and efficiency.

Perform other related duties tasks as assigned.

Develop training materials documentation and conduct cyber training sessions.

Support information security and privacy programs, including FISMA compliance.

Lead assessments and audits based on NIST standards and federal regulations.

Maintain system security documentation for A&A activities and ATO.

Conduct vulnerability assessments, scanning, and remediation.

Implement Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation (CDM) strategies.

Monitor systems for cyber threats and data breaches and maintain privacy and data.

Support incident/breach response activities and incident response planning.

Assist with technical cyber-related requests received in the IT Service Help Desk.

Minimally Required Education, Experience and Skills-Abilities

Extensive knowledge of computer systems and data communications security procedures.

Proficiency in installing security software to monitor system usage.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Must have CISSP Certification Required.

Active Public Trust Clearance required ability to obtain Secret if needed

Equivalent experience of 5+ years in two or more of the CISSP domains.
