The Production Worker is responsible for efficiently batching, blending, filling, and preparing various products to be shipped to customers. Position performs basic maintenance on production equipment; ensures equipment and work area are properly sanitized; prepares outbound shipments; receives incoming raw materials; and follows proper procedures and standards.
This position reports to the Production Manager and does not supervise staff. The position works closely with lab, operations, logistics, and truck drivers.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:
KNOWLEDGE OF:

Principles and practices of food production and manufacturing, including food safety, quality, manufacturing concepts.

Working knowledge of FDA and OSHA regulations, GMPs, Sanitation, SQF, and HACCP.

Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
ABILITY TO:

Read and write in English.
- Identify, research, and analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions.

Effectively organize, plan, and execute.
- Meet behaviors established in NW Naturals' performance management and development process.
EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING:

High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of food processing/production experience is preferred.
- GMP Training and Valid Forklift Operator's License are preferred; n-house training will be provided if needed.
Sanitation Training is preferred; in-house training will be provided if needed.

- Constantly works in a manufacturing/plant and occasionally has exposures to an outdoors environment
